She's Crafty

**Think Beastie Boys
*** I have no idea why blogger has decided to randomly underline text in this post.

Thanks to the creativity of others, I've been inspired to do some crafting (some of these are several months old)...

Around the house...

The sun comes in so bright and hot in the afternoon that we need to have blackout curtains in our front rooms. But, I’ve never liked the look of the flat panels, so I just added some ribbon and made them into Roman shades to dress up the windows a bit.

Another thing on my to-do list since we moved in has been to make some curtains for the kitchen windows.

For Little Guy...
Nap pants for St. Patrick's Day. Nothing really noteworthy about these other than it was my first attempt at working with stripes. I think in the future I'll leave it to the professionals.

I made these bunny finger-puppets for his Easter basket and put lollipops in them.

This car caddy has been perfect for taking to church.

A crayon roll, similar to the car caddy pattern but this one has removable letters for his name.

Photo book cover.

Bean bag chair for his room. Really he does love to read stories in this chair but he wanted to get out and hold the camera and I kept making him get back in it :)

For Baby Sister...
Baby shoes. Incidentally the blanket the shoes above are pictured on was made by Brad's super-crafty Mom. It's beautiful and I love it!!!
But mostly I've been working on this.
I hope she turns out at least as cute as her baby shoes!!!

Another day at the beach...

Without intending to, we have made it an annual tradition to go to the beach for Memorial Day. This year, we were lucky to have Little Guy's aunt and cousin join us in the fun.
a little nervous at first

starting to get used to the waves and water

Home Invasion

About two weeks ago, we had a home invasion...not by termites or burglars, but by my sister, baby and dog (and her husband was here for about a week). I'm sure there will be lots of adventures and misadventures in the coming weeks. I'll let you know at the end of the month if I would have preferred the termites :)
Poor Blink has already been forced to give up her bed

You asked for it...

I've had several requests to post baby belly pictures. I'm not sure why people want to see other people getting fatter (well, I do). Below is a picture at 27 weeks, so it's about 3 weeks old and I'll need to post an updated one soon.

For comparison purposes, this is me at about 26 weeks with Little Guy. I think I have a more pokey out belly this time around and am carrying a little lower (could be the angle though). I sure hope so because I don't know if I can take a month or more of being poked in the ribs. So far, I haven't had much of that.
