To spring break!

We don't really get spring break anymore. Or maybe everyday is spring break. Really, everyday it feels more and more like Groundhog day. Regardless, we had some fun visitors and so we are considering that our spring break.

First my sister in law and her three girls came to visit. Both the Little Mister and Baby Sister loved all the attention! And I loved how much I could get done while someone else was entertaining them. We had pretty good weather while they were here. We went to the park for a picnic and to the indoor pool at the gym for a swim. Best of all we had babysitters for Brad and I to go on an actual date for our anniversary.

Just two days later my friend Erin came to visit. If I said how long Erin and I have been friends it would make me feel really old, so I won't. The best part of her visit was going out for Indian food and then to a build your own sundae frozen yogurt place. Um, delicious. I WILL be going there again.

Come back and visit us soon!

That was easy...

Seriously, where did the time go? Five years already?

It seems like not too long ago we were foot loose and fancy free exploring the Pacific Northwest together.
Now we've got two kids, two dogs, and tons of responsibility. There is nothing footloose and fancy free about us now:) But we are still just as happy...maybe happier.

Oh what an adventure...
Happy Anniversary!

7 months

At seven months, Baby Sister is moving all over. She doesn't crawl yet, but with a combination of rolling, pivoting and scooting on her belly she gets anywhere she wants to go. Luckily for me she seems much more content than her big brother did to just explore the living room, rather than say...the toilet.

She's learning to feed herself. In fact, if I put puffs or bits of crackers on her tray she prefers to eat that rather than what I am spoon feeding her.

She loves bath time and splashing in the water (unless it gets in her eyes).

She sleeps about 12 hours a night. Sometimes she wakes up after about 10 hours to eat but then goes back to sleep. And lately, she almost always wakes up sometime between 11pm and 2am and cries for about two minutes, goes to sleep, then repeats after about 10 minutes. Then she's good for the rest of the night. I'm so lucky to have a good sleeper this time!

She seems much more interested in toys than the Little Mister was at this age and can entertain herself for quite awhile in her crib with a few toys. I think her favorite part of the day is when she wakes up from her afternoon nap, before her brother wakes up, when she gets full reign of all the toys.

She makes the cutest happy sounds I've ever heard.

She can say ba ba ba.

I think she literally hugs me when I pick her up in the morning and gets so excited her little body just jerks and shakes. And at night when I put her to bed she is so tired that her little head just gets so floppy and she just cuddles against my shoulder.

She loves her dad and smiles every time she sees him, but if I'm being honest, I think she likes big brother most of all!

The Great Outdoors

Ready for Dad to take him on a campout. Too bad this picture was taken at 10am and he had to wait until 6pm to leave.

He said his favorite part was the hike and breakfast. He didn't mention that the "hike" was just a little walk and that it was raining the whole time and he had to wear a trashbag poncho. Those Boy Scouts though, always prepared :)

What do stay-at-home moms do?

We organize playdates so we can dress up our babies and take pictures of them together.

Thanks for hosting, Alexia. And Karina, thank-you for the adorable pictures :)
