Another missed opportunity

A little known fact about me is that I have always wanted to be in an earthquake - not a big one, I just want to feel the ground shake a little bit. I missed one in San Francisco by about 12 hours once. And I just read that there was a 4.5 quake a few miles north of Seattle early this morning. Oh well, maybe I'll still get my chance.

I want that!

Squeak (now it's more like Squawk) is six months old today. I truly love this stage... he is so happy and so interactive with the world around him. You will usually find him with his arms outstretched and a big smile on his face as if to say "oooh, I want that" and then he grabs onto whatever is catching his interest at the time. Frequently this object is my hair, Blink's ears, Weezer's lips, or his favorite toy. But the best one so far was a couple of days ago when I put him in his playpen (oh excuse me, play yard - I wouldn't want any babies reading this to get offended and think I keep my baby in a pen) with all of his toys. He must have found his binky in there and popped it right in his mouth, because when I checked on him just a few moments later I found him happily playing, binky in mouth totally Maggie Simpson style.

Baby's First Christmas (vacation)

A photo montage of how Squeak spent his first Christmas vacation.

(additional videos to come soon after I figure out how to upload them in less than two hours)
